The natural gas leak was in Silver Spring Township on Konhaus Road, Cumberland County officials explained in a release.

The road closure was between Trindle and Danbury roads, but initially, the leak had closed the westbound lanes of the PA Turnpike/Interstate 76, as detailed in the release.

Konhaus Road residents were evacuated and temporarily relocated to the New Kingston Fire Company, officials said.

The situation cleared that evening.
